I am passionate about taking Yoga off the mat and bringing it into everyday life; to help you rediscover and liberate your inner magnificence and wisdom to make the world a better place for all.
Born and raised in the French Alps, I moved to London in 1994. A couple of years later, I walked in a local yoga class and caught the yoga bug instantly. From then on I heartily embraced and explored as many classes workshops from as many different yoga traditions as I could. Sadly, the majority of yoga classes focus mostly, if not only, on the physical aspect of Yoga. I knew instinctively that this ageless spiritual discipline had much more to offer. My quest for deeper knowledge and understanding led me to pursue the Teaching Diploma Training with the British Wheel of Yoga (completed in May 2003). I'm very grateful to my many teachers: Val Field classes who first inspired me, my course tutors, Monica Burton (main diploma) and Wendy Teasdill (pregnancy module completed in 2004) who taught me about teaching and the anatomy and physiology of the body, to Uma Dinsmore Tuli and Nirlipa Tuli who taught me all the pre & post natal practices I now share with you, to Swami Anasakti Saraswati for her valuable one on one classes and workshops.
However, it is only during the early days of the Covid-19 crisis, that, to my horror, I became aware of the many abuses that have been perpetrated in the name of yoga, with many of teachings hijacked by authoritarian patriarchal hierarchies, capitalism, colonialism and other divisive systems. The work of Yoni Shakti: The Movement by Uma Dinsmore-Tuli as well as the magical Tantra for Women classes of Yoli Maya Yeh, are what is helping me the most in decolonising my own body and practice from these inaccurate or inappropriate teachings. The work of these 2 incredible women is helping me walk the sacred experiential path of harmonising the inner and outer nature, which is both healing and fun!
Their lights, connecting to the matriarchal lineages of all the women that walked the path before us, is now what guide and inspire my classes, offering simple yet powerful practices which nurture self-spiritual empowerment (you are your own Guru), self acceptance and love.
